World of Warcraft Classic is currently in beta, which means some players are getting a chance to experience a much older version of the MMO ahead of its release. WoW Classic is based on how WoW played in August 2006, back around update 1.12. Back then, things were different. Tauren hitboxes were much larger, sitting could cause certain combat effects to not trigger and completed quests were marked with dots and not question marks. Strange days.

Through out the game, the quest log will be capped to 20 many times.  The guide makes use of maximizing the total amount of quests you can accept at once.  Because of this it is important to follow the guide exactly and only accept quests if the guide tells you to so you won't run into issues not being able to accept a quest.  If you do accept a quest that is not listed in the guide, write it down because you may need to abandon it in order to keep following the guide if your quest log is full.
Why was this downvoted? The swing analogy is horrible. There’s nothing physical that’s going to change when u play the game the exact same way as 04 05 06. The difference is u know what’s going on as opposed to not knowing where anything is. A good analogy would be playing Pokémon red again after beating the elite 4. The game itself won’t be any worse, it just will be easier and maybe less enjoyable if all you enjoyed is the aspect of not knowing where to go. But this is why pvp servers are magical, because each time you level a character, your leveling experience is different based on the encounters that happen while questing. In 05 U may have breezed through stv, but in classic u may spend an hour on a single quest solely because of the competition between factions on that particular quest.
The first demon hunters, whether enthralled by the sight of Illidan Stormrage cutting down swaths of demons during the War of the Ancients, stumbling upon a rogue demon hunter in their eternal quest to slaughter the Burning Legion, somehow forcing themselves into the destroyed realm of Outland, or by secret scrolls that have been found in night elven lands, the Night Elf demon hunter has more avenues than Blood Elves to become the predator of demons. Most, if not all Player Character Night Elf demon hunters, are going to be shackled to the fact that they became demon hunters sometime after the War of the Ancients. This is ambiguous due to the information received in World of Warcraft: Legion by the character Illysanna Ravencrest in her Dungeon Journal entry, “The daughter of Lord Ravencrest, imprisoned for millennia in the Vault of the Wardens shortly after the War of Ancients, found herself free after Maiev released the demon hunters from their prison. Returning to her ancestral home, she has sacrificed everything - including her very soul - to defend what she could not during the War of the Ancients,” being taken by some people as evidence of her being a demon hunter either during the War of the Ancients.

The leveling guides on my site are essentially speed leveling guides.  My leveling guides are the same guides I use myself to speedrun to 60 on new servers to get 60 server first.  I list many occasions where I tell the player to "die on purpose" to go faster.  I tell the player to skip certain quests, because some quests are just not worth the time/XP.  I list tricks and shortcuts to go faster so you can reach level 60 much quicker.  I am still constantly going through them over and over again perfecting the guides to make them faster and easier to follow.  For the most part, the guide can be followed without the need from other player's help, as the whole guide was made from a solo run anyways.  Although I do list quests that can optionally be done if you have a group.
Succubus: In the same vein as the imp avoids harm, the succubus is known for slipping in and out of sight on the battlefields, attacking when least expected, and relishing in the pain delivered to their opponents. In the same vein, both pain and pleasure enact a power to the succubus. To the demon hunter bound to a succubus, this might showcase itself with a particular knack for invisibility spells, turning pain into power, and even an affinity with the use of charm spells.
I have tried it a few times. It's good if you're new to the game. Otherwise not so much. I found I leveled slower by using it, as it's suggesting to take the longest possible route usually. Basically following roads everytime, when you could take an easy shortcut. Especially if the shortcut involves a bit of fall damage, it's out of question. The "go here" spots don't also update if you take a shortcut, and then the waypoint arrow points to wrong direction. But perhaps it has been updated since then.
Felhound: The felhounds serve the Burning Legion as their devourers of magic, their forerunners, and torturers of spellcasters. An endless desire to devour magic is their greatest trait, especially when paired with their endless appetite for wickedness. Demon hunters who bind themselves to these creatures are no doubt the masters of defeating spellcasters, seeing their spell-weaving enemies as little more than fonts of power to draw from.
Much like an encounter with a wild pet team, PVP Pet Battles are turn-based. However, unlike the PVE version, the PVP combat system is timed and any ability for each round must be chosen within that time limit otherwise it will assume you have passed a turn. A time penalty is applied if you take more than 15 seconds to choose an action, resulting in progressively shorter round timers for you.
This is definitely why we do a beta test. We can also do things like reset the realm at a busy time like 4:30pm PDT to try and find the source of a certain issue where a crocolisk is losing it’s brain due to how multiple processes are interacting and mirroring code to form a cohesive world. There were similar types of issues like this back in 2004 but we wanted to try and resolve this one before the weekend for the folks who are testing. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
Four groups of Zygons attempted to make Earth more like Zygor: those who arrived in the 12th century (TV: Terror of the Zygons), those that arrived in the 16th century and plotted to invade in the 21st century (TV: The Day of the Doctor), those that arrived in 1909 (PROSE: Sting of the Zygons), and those that arrived in the late-20th century. One of the best ways to make gold in World of Warcraft is to obtain valuable items and sell back on the Auction House for a profit. Farming allows you to do this with little to no money up front or professions needed. The guide will display a list of the highest earning farmable materials and will show you the best place to farm that item with the highest drops and respawn rates.

It was the experience of the game that brought pleasure and joy, and that's what a lot of us want again. Not the numbers. When I play Classic I want to go through the deadmines with people I like and overcome a challenge together and see myself become stronger as a result. I don't want to play Classic so I can say "booyah! That number is exactly the same as it was 13 years ago!"
26 ADP, 2 Months Before the Fall of the Black Temple: The Dark Portal reopens and the forces of the Aliance and the Horde come through. Highlord Kruul had planned to destroy both forces. Unknown to the Alliance and the Horde, the servants of Illidan attacked Kruul and distracted him long enough for Illidan to kill him, blasting a hole through his chest. Without their leader, the demons fell into disarray and the Alliance and the Horde were able to fight back the remaining demons.
A core part of the demon hunter character exists metaphysically to them. Regardless of the demon hunter’s capability and control, always lying beneath the surface, waiting for a sign of weakness, is the demon that was bound to the demon hunter during their ritual. Their voice lingering at the edges of their mind, whispering sweet nothings to tempt each demon hunter to the ranks of the Burning Legion. Just the same, these creatures bound to the demon hunters can affect their physical being, showcasing itself with scaled features, claws, fangs, horns, tails, leathery wings, and even different magical affinities.
They seem to have expected some things, though, see adding pets with aquatic damage (gun and ooze) aswell as a resistant cockroach to stop us from cheesing everything with elementals. Yet, a fact their damage output is low combined with shields not checking for racial damage means this mechanic prevents a lot as you mentioned. The last boss has got an ability to remove basic shields so perhaps that was not in oblivion either… unlike the reactive damage. Also, an ability that forces swap altogether with an ability which prevents from being swapped, including critters? I can't say I like it.
In regards to the Night Elven demon hunters, where did your character stumble upon the necessary mentor to become a demon hunter? What made your character want to walk the path of becoming a demon hunter? What did your character do prior to becoming a demon hunter? How long has your character been a demon hunter? What adverse effects has your character endured because of their being a demon hunter for (blank amount of time)?
I made some route changes to the Horde levels 43-44 sections.  I have swapped 44 Dustwallow Marsh with 44 Desolace (the entire sections). This allowed me to do Deadmire (at lvl 43 instead of 38) and then go stop at TB to turn in Deadmire + The Black Shield at the same time, then fly quickly to do the Desolace stuff.  Doing 44 Desolace is now mandatory because I think its faster with the new routes. This will also make the level 53 grind much shorter.  I think these were great changes.
I consider myself a purist in that I would prefer classic to be released as close as possible to the original. Where that is on the spectrum of patch content will be up to blizz. I'm also not vane enough to believe that any single state of the game is the "Ideal" location we should be aiming for. There is common ground that we can agree on, and I would welcome more than a few changes as long as they are made in the spirit of keeping classic on the vanilla rails.
“Still dizzy and weak, Vandel forced himself to his feet. His true foes were the innumerable forces of the Burning Legion, which even now prepared to strike at his homeworld. He stood for a moment, calming his mind, listening for any internal voice that was not his own. He heard nothing, but he knew that didn’t mean anything. He did not doubt that the demon was still in there, waiting for the opportunity to break free once more. He was aware now of the ebb and flow of energies all around. The lights were auras of living things, some bright, some filled with energy. The brightest of all came from the being who stood beside him.”
In player vs. player designated zones, you will still be viewable and attackable by players, but you are not left completely defenseless. While engaged in a Pet Battle, any attack from another player will break you out of the battle. You will receive a 3 second damage shield that will absorb 50% of incoming attacks. The same exact wild pet that you were previously battling will respawn after you come out of combat with the other player. However, if you defeated the primary pet in battle prior to leaving the match, the pet and its team will not respawn.

A new quest will pop up once your first pet reaches level 3. It will send you to either Audrey Burnhep in Stormwind or Varzok in Orgrimmar. These trainers will offer a quest chain to battle specific Pet Tamer NPCs on each continent. Defeating each of these NPCs will reward a nice chunk of experience for your pets, as well a Sack of Pet Supplies (which has the chance to drop the Porcupette companion, among the always-useful pet bandages).
